You wanna talk real hard rock? Check in with our resident rock expert, Rasim.

Raz received his Masters in Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana, where his graduate work concentrated on Hydrogeology and Forest Hydrology. Prior to graduate school, Raz worked throughout the world for ten years as a Field Geologist and Geophysical Engineer in North America, the Middle East, East Asia, Africa, and the North Sea. His Bachelor of Science is in Geology and Archeology.

The grad school comraderie and ongoing conversations which ensued between fellow Environmental Studies graduate students Rasim Babameto, Jennifer Ferenstein, and Anne Devine later proved to root the deep philosophical foundation for GreenScene Media.

In November of 1996 Rasim Babmeto and Anne Devine teamed up in San Francisco to document twenty-four hours behind the scenes of the Golden Gate Bridge Action to Save the Ancient Redwoods. This photo-documentary collaboration was GreenScene Media's first Internet deployment, with images available on the web before the climbers descended from the Golden Gate Bridge.

Raz lives and writes in Missoula, where he is active in the environmental community. He has also produced and directed a number of video works.
